Front Step Welcomes Logan Business Association - 12/12/12

Earlier this evening, Front Step had the opportunity to welcome members of the Logan Business Association to its Courtland Facility. 

Among the guests were Councilwoman Cindy Bass, representatives from Einstein Medical and Citizens Bank, Clergy, Entrepreneurs and local business people. 

Guests were also exposed to Front Step’s programs and future endeavors. Einstein Medical and Citizens Bank expressed interest in conducting health and financial educational programs at our facility in the new year.

 

Thanksgiving Dinner - 2012

The Word In Action and Front Step Inc partnered this year to arrange a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents of Philadelphia. The food was prepared by our resident chef and instructor, Chef Bernard of our Culinary Arts program at our Courtland facility.

Courtland Culinary Promotes Healthy Eating - Monday, October 8th, 2012

Our Resident Chef, Bernard, introduced culinary students to Crudités.  "Crudités" is a French term that refers to "raw vegetables," so a platter of crudités typically consists of one or more types of raw vegetables served with one or more dips.

 

Students had the opportunity to be creative and each one made their presentations to Chef Bernard and visiting chefs, Chef Carl and Dr Dent. Dr Dent also shared his years of culinary experience with the students.

Our Table-setting Culinary Class - Sept 20th
